The campaign role for Zambezi Lager in 2019 was to establish “The Mighty” proposition in consumers minds by bringing out the emotive aspects of what makes Zimbabwe “great” in all communications, focusing for a start on the Zambezi river
The drone videos of the majestic sights of the Zambezi and Victoria Falls align with the ‘MIGHTY’ brand preposition and the great outdoors as  they give a towering impression giving the viewers a Mighty Giant’s POV. However a cohesive picture had to be painted to tie the various pieces of footage together and tell a story through a sequence of scenic moments between sunrise and sunset. To this regard, my role was to edit and apply visual effects to sections and to animate an immersive closer that would reveal the product/brand.

EDIT BREAKDOWNS

To mark the start of the day, I re-composed the opening scenes from beaming mid-day scenes to foggy morning settings which are indicative of areas by the river banks
The adjorning scene from a foggy dawn to clear morning needed to be a smoother transition hence I applied an additional layer of fog that conceales the partition.
Nothing expresses ‘MIGHTY’ like the roaring thunder from the sky gods, hence I converted a still blue sky to a raging thunderstorm.
Through a mix of 3D animation and video composites, I created a motion graphic experience that allows viewers to seamlessly travel from one scene to the closing billboard with the implication that the great outdoors emobidy the Zambezi Lager brew.
